Call for Papers | Volume Special Issue: Global Talent and Workforce Mobility | Deadline: October 30, 2026

The Journal of Law, Policy and Society (JLPS) invites scholars, legal practitioners, policymakers, and interdisciplinary researchers to submit original manuscripts for an upcoming special issue dedicated to one of the most pressing global challenges in an increasingly interconnected world:

Global Talent and Workforce Mobility: Legal Governance, Human Rights, and Cross-Border Migration

Global migration, international labor mobility, and the movement of highly skilled professionals have become defining features of the twenty-first century. As governments compete for global talent while addressing labor shortages, demographic changes, economic development, and national security concerns, legal and policy frameworks governing cross-border migration continue to evolve.

At the same time, increasing mobility raises critical legal and ethical questions regarding immigration governance, labor rights, anti-discrimination protections, social integration, access to justice, international cooperation, and the protection of migrants' human rights. Emerging challenges—including digital nomadism, remote work across jurisdictions, refugee protection, and the mobility of international students and researchers—require innovative legal responses and effective global governance.

This special issue seeks to examine how legal systems, policymakers, international organizations, employers, educational institutions, and civil society can promote fair, lawful, and sustainable cross-border migration and workforce mobility while safeguarding human dignity, equality, and fundamental human rights.
